Bina Marga Ensures Construction Activities Comply with PSBB Rules

Construction activities under our agency refers to the COVID-19 prevention protocol in construction projects

Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head Hari Nugroho ensures construction activities in Jakarta comply with the Gubernatorial Regulation number 33/2020 on PSBB.

To support it, his agency had issued a circular letter on the implementation of construction activities during the PSBB.

"Construction activities under our agency refers to the COVID-19 prevention protocol in construction projects issued by the Public Works and Public Housing Ministry's Construction General Director, as well as Gubernatorial Regulation number 33/2020 on PSBB," he expressed, Tuesday (4/14).

He explained construction activities regulated in Article 10 paragraph 1 point 8 could still be executed or stopped temporarily during PSBB.

"For ongoing projects, construction workers must comply with health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 transmission," he explained.

He added the project leaders have a few obligations including limiting worker activities in the work area, appointing executors responsible for preventing COVID-19, providing shelter and daily necessities for all workers while in the project area.

"Forbid every worker or guest who has a body temperature above normal to be in the work area and periodically monitor the health of workers," he told.

He went on to say that infrastructure repairs that are still ongoing namely, the patching of potholes that are handled by the Bina Marga Agency.

"There are also large construction projects in several areas including three flyovers namely, Cakung, Tanjung Barat and Lenteng Agung, including Senen Underpass," he stated.
